Creating black surface on white Starting with the eyes
The Lion is known, with good reason, as the 'King' of the animals. Lions can run at 35mph, leap 30 feet and their roars can be heard over a distance of five miles. Lions are the only truly social members of the Cat family. The territory of a pride of lions can be as large as 180 square miles.

Developing colour with layers Starting the nose
Linda is actively helping her own and other charities working towards a brighter future for these and all Big Cats, mammals and birds.
Sadly, Lions are becoming a rarity for a variety of reasons, some more complex than others. Hunting for sport and fur as well as loss of habitat and killing to protect livestock have quartered the number of wild Lions in Africa in the last 40 years.

Starting the whiskers The finished portrait
Once seen, never forgotten. Lions are majestic and magnificent. Learn with Linda how to capture their beauty on paper.
In this DVD, Linda paints in Liquid Acrylic. The techniques employed can also be used for Acrylic, Watercolour, Gouache or Oil.
